Starting to Nest

I realized with a start that Lucas is only in school a few more weeks so I only have a few more free mornings. With this realization, my nesting instinct has kicked into gear - Butterbean will soon be here! I'm only at 24 weeks, but with a Florida holiday and lots of travelling for Craig, I'm sure July 22nd will be upon us before I can blink.
I've already purchased a few sweet girl outfits, just in case, that are hanging with expectation in the spare bedroom closet. Also in that closet are some storage baskets, a new, empty baby book, a new diaper pail (I hate the one we used last time) and a portable diaper pad. I also picked up a nursing stool.
Yesterday was the first day that I really got busy preparing. I almost bought the co-sleeper/bassinet I want, but all the parts weren't there so I changed my mind, but I have decided the best item for us, so it's just a matter of time until that (gasp) first large item is under our roof.
This morning I plan to measure out the space we'll be using to house our new Butterbean in the first few months and then I can really start my buying binge. My list so far? A nice, cushy rug for my bare toes at night; some ivory mosquito netting to hang from our high ceiling to create a cozy space; a small lamp and table to light up our space; and I'm sure I'll dream up some more before I'm through. Usually, I avoid shopping but I feel the urge to get all these things handled so Butterbean can be surrounded by a soft, loving environment when he/she gets here.
