I know this sounds crazy, but Mya peed in the toilet this morning for the first time. Here's how it happened. Often, when I remove Mya's diaper and if I'm slow to get the fresh one on her, she pees on the floor. This happens most frequently first thing in the morning and just before bath time.
So, tired of cleaning up the messes, I decided to plop her on the toilet this morning as soon as I removed her overnight diaper.
Lo and behold, she peed! She didn't realize that's what happened, but she did it nonetheless. It is clear that she prefers to pee when her diaper is removed so, I guess I'll have her on the toilet ring first thing in the morning and before bath time to see if this becomes a regular thing. Can you imagine? A toilet trained 12 month old? Oh what heaven that would be. If she waits until 3 that's okay too, but I can dream can't I?
