Ella is a kitty who showed up at our house sometime last year and has slowly made herself at home. Finally, a couple weeks ago, I took her to the vet to ensure we didn't have a whole family of kitties deciding to adopt us. With this move, Ella has worked her way even further into our lives.
Mya loves Ella. She exclaims her name with delight each and every time she lays eyes on her. She is drawn to her whenever Ella is in the house. Lucas could take her or leave her, but Mya is enamored.
She rubs her face into her side, she wakes her up from her naps nearly 100% of the time and Ella doesn't seem to mind one bit. I figure that Ella would hightail it as soon as she heard Mya within range, but she sits and endures Mya's pokes and prods. The belly flops on top are not so fun. Even so, she sits still.
In fact, Ella seeks us out each and every time we gather in our "thinking chair" to read. It is a customary sight now to see Lucas, Mya and I curled up with a book while Ella sits on the arm of the chair.
I think Ella is Mya's first best friend.
