Mya's language has shifted. It seems to me that she used to introduce an idea or a sentence here or there, but lately she has been piling sentence upon sentence. Amazing.
Last night, we watched Wallace and Gromit together and I had a running commentary. "That's the dog. His name is Gromit. Where is Wallace? Oh there he is. That's a bunny. He's eating a carrot. I want a carrot. Here's have a piece of popcorn. Eat it. Ariel was peeking at me in my room. She's a princess. I like princesses. I'm a pink princess."
What I find most remarkable is her ability to come at a topic from several different angles. She declares that she likes snacks. "I like snacks because they are tasty. Do you like snacks? Maybe Luckey would like a snack" and more.
I don't think I'll ever tire of her chatter. She uses adverbs correctly (I pet Ella softly) which makes me swoon. She can interchange synonyms here and there - an English-lovers dream. I tell you she is a girl after my own heart.
