Mya was seriously well-behaved for her 3 yo check up this week. She understood what was required of her and she performed each task easily. First, she raced through the developmental questions and finished them all but tw0 - she didn't want to draw a person and can't balance on one leg for 8 seconds (only 3).
She walked down the hall whileLucas and I stood in the exam room door and watched. She hopped on the scales (33 1/4 lbs - 75th percentile) and walked over to the wall for measurement ( 37 3/4 inches). She laid down for her other measurement (40 1/4 inches - 96th percentile) and she sat perfectly still on my lap while they measured her head (can't remember the measurement and doesn't seem too important).
The ears, eyes, throat, blood pressure and heart/lung check were equally uneventful. A large hunk of hardened ear wax was not a challenge for Mya. She sat still while the Doc stuck a sharp object in her ear to spear it. Her hemoglobin finger prick didn't hurt and the lollipop was yummy. The Kung Fu Panda sticker was like the cherry on top. I was so proud of her and just can't believe we're nearing the end of our wellness checks!
