It's official... Mya is registered to be a pre-K student in August. We attended an open house last night to see her room and meet her teacher. She was a little bit nervous getting out of the car, but didn't show any apprehension after that.
She and her teacher-to-be had a nice little conversation about favorite colors (Mya likes green now, but that's a new favorite). Ms. T likes purple and green too.
She played with some hot pink playdough and checked out the book corner. It seems like she'll have very little problem adjusting. She goes in for pre-screening in a couple of weeks so the teacher can assess her skills and knowledge.
Exciting times! Come August, Mya will start at 7:50 am and I'll go get her at 11 am. We have the choice of doing some after-school care too, but we'll wait on that ... adjust to one new change at a time.
My baby is growing up fast!
