The kids let me sleep in this morning - a rare occasion indeed! They fumbled in the door around 5:20 a.m. and decided shortly that they would handle their own breakfast.
I heard the regular sounds off and on as I dozed and they woke me up every once in a while with a question or complaint. My favorite interruption? Mya came in with her trusty index card and pencil (she carries writing materials with her constantly these days) and asked me to write "Together Forever".
I did as she asked with blurry eyes and messy penmanship. I was too sleepy to inquire about the project, but as she headed back out the door, I heard her mumbling to herself "Mya and Lucas, Together Forever".
I have the best kids.
