Lights Up the Room

Mya is the purveyor of some spectacular energy. Last weekend, Craig hosted a big brew here which meant about 40 people were milling about the house throughout the day. Without even trying, Mya had them all in her thrall.

It's not that she's a "performer" exactly. She isn't singing or dancing so much - although one of her many costume changes did involve dance gear. It's more like she is commanding their attention for what she has to offer, who she is....

Her power over the crowd hit its peak when she donned the fuschia pink, sequined dress I just picked up for her after Halloween. She entered the room and all the light flowing in the afternoon windows hit those sequins and "bam" she was a human disco ball. Conversations stopped, everyone turned to the source of the unexpected beauty and, sensing her power, she gave a little wiggle and the lights danced around the room. Every corner of the room shone because of her. She glittered, she glowed and she was literally, a source of light for everyone in the room. It was remarkable and not something I'll ever forget.
