3 Months Old

Happy Birthday to Mya! On Monday, Mya was officially, by the calendar, 3 months old. Numerically, she is actually 13-14 weeks, but that gets very confusing for anyone but a Mom.
Grandma Shore was here to celebrate Mya's and Craig's birthday. It seemed that Mya was being especially sweet for her.
Some milestones that Mya has recently reached (some I've mentioned before, but I want to summarize here);
- rolling over
- raising her head 90 degrees when on her tummy
- sitting up propped on all sides by pillows
- laughing repeatedly - her chin and neck are especially good spots to trigger a giggle
- growing into her 3-6 clothes and out of 0-3 completely as you would expect at 3 months
- just started to grab at things and hold them in her hand i.e. a rattle with a good spacious circular handle
- tracking objects easily from one side of her head to the other
- bearing weight on her legs with ease. In fact, I find myself having her "stand up" while I hold one of her arms when I'm pulling on her pants.
- verbalizing and making sweet coos. She even raises her voice when Lucas is getting too touchy.
- she's enjoying "girl things" and has participated beautifully in my book club and my "coffee with the girls" this past week.

All in all, she's an amazing little girl. As I tell many people, she has spent 80-90% of her life completely content. She sits so still and watches things so intently you almost forget she's there. I say "almost" because her presence is so luminous. One glance in her direction and you're reminded of her beauty all over again.
