4 Months Old

We went for Mya's 4 month immunizations today. She did great and only cried with the sticks (3 of them to her thighs) and not much beyond that. She is growing like gangbusters. Here are her stats;
Height - 26 1/2 inches (off the charts)
Weight - 16 lbs (90-95th percentile)
Head circumference - 43.7 cm (97th percentile)
I'm not sure what effect the shots will have on her, but she's been sleeping ever since and that's unsusual. However, her sleeping patterns have been radically changing lately. She is starting to sleep 3, 4 and 5 hour stints again - thank goodness. She's also getting trickier to put down. Her level of awareness is so much higher now that if she stirs at all, she wakes herself up fully with ease.
She is using her own hands now to pull her soother out and put it back in. She is reaching out to the side of her car seat and holding the edge as well. She has a favourite toy we christened "Dennis" (thanks Auntie Janet) who has long wobbly limbs that she can get a good grip on so she often has that in her hands.
All Mya does is smile and laugh - it's true! The vast majority of her days are spent at peace and that just thrills me. It is so wonderful to know that she is healthy and happy.
