Yeah!! Mya has begun to talk. Okay, she hasn't made the necessary connection between the word and the thing, but she is definitely saying words. She has been playing around with the mmm sound and has also said "ball". The "ball" accomplishment is based on Craig's account; I've never been there to hear it yet.
I've also heard her use the "w" sound. Her use of "Mama" isn't accidental because she can parrot it back to you if you're saying it to her. What a girl! Daddy has been frantically trying to get her to say "Dada" or "Papa" too. I think she has come close to "papa" a couple of times. "Lucas" will probably be a bit much for a while.
Have you heard that comment? We spend the first years eager for our kids to stand up and talk and then we spend the rest of their childhood getting them to sit down and be quiet!
