I need to clarify that it's more like a suitcase really. My current "purse" is only slightly smaller than my full backpack. Actually, my bag resembles a clown car - I can pull the most amazing things out of there - and there's more and more and more and ....
I thought it would be interesting to note what I currently have in my bag because several years from now, I will marvel at what was required for little ones.
Of course I carry those things that "normal" women carry in their purses - wallet, cell phone, sunglasses, keys, lipstick. But then the craziness begins.
At this moment I have;
- one tube of Baby Oragel
- waterless hand sanitizer
- one empty wheat cheddar cheese cracker wrapping
- one empty (and sticky) fruit and grain bar wrapping
- 3 snacks in various stages of squishedness
- grape flavoured infant acetaminophen drops
- a stack of 6 disposable bibs - one of which is gently used
- one pull up (not enough by the way, I must restock before our next adventure)
- a hard plastic container that holds wipes, which is also on the light side and needs replenishing
- our digital camera in its case
Now those are just the items that stay, there are a host of other items that come and go. I add mittens, water cups, tissues, bandaids, books, pads of paper and the like when the occasion calls for them. I'm thinking it's time to add the fold up Sponge Bob toilet seat for Mya.
Also, this bag is merely the one I carry around. I have a back up backpack in the van which contains a full diaper change kit, two complete sets of clothes for both kids, sunscreen, bug spray, cloth diaper for a rag, a picnic blanket .... there might be more.
How can two little kids create such a whirlwind of stuff?
