"Doat, doat, doat" Mya demands as I type. She is nearby trying desperately to put on a hood that doesn't exist. Doat means coat, but is interchangeable with "put my hood up". Hard to do when she's wearing a vest.
So, Dipmiss is over and the rayno and the aynos need to be boxed up for another year. Reindeer and angel sound surprisingly alike when Mya says them. That happens a lot - hippo is for both hippos and slippers.
I've noticed that the "h" sound is a favorite of hers. Hip is zip and heep is sleep.
She's even saying phrases now. Dosh means there it is. Got it is a nice clear phrase she has mastered.
Her doat forgotten, Mya is off to watch tidough bounce along with his friend Pooh. She's doing an amazing job of learning this crazy language of ours.
