It would seem that we picked the right costume for Mya this year - one with spots! Now her splotchy, spotty body will blend in nicely with the leopard costume we bought.
Yesterday, Mya awoke with some red splotches circling her torso. Last night after bath, they were spread to her legs and arms. This morning, they were wild when we took off her pull up. Fortunately, they don't seem to hurt or itch much. She is actually pretty lively for how sickly she looks. A trip to the Doctor this morning confirmed no strep, no fever and just a virus we have to wait out. We were prescribed a little benadryl to make everyone feel better.
We've yet to see if Mya can attend her school Halloween party tomorrow. The doctor said we can re-enter circulation once the spots are gone. Obvious advice yes? It is contagious so we don't want the entire 2 year old class looking like leopards.
As of this moment, it looks like her latest ones are fading and the newest ones are on her ankles. Maybe if they are faded by night time she has a chance of partying tomorrow.
