So Much Growth

Mya is moving rapidly through things right now. She has portions of at least 6 new teeth and her smile is transforming into a sweet, toothy grin. She now knows how to climb up on a kitchen chair on her own. Stops my heart sometimes but so far, she has not fallen down. She is so capable it's amazing. Just a week or two ago, she had a real metal fork and wolfed down at least three times more food than she usually does. Since then, a grown-up fork is a meal requirement.
One thing that I've noticed which is new is her choice of new words. She is attempting the most interesting words - sparkly, abre (Spanish for open), rainbow, raspberry. She seems to have raced by the one syllable simple ones. Her first phrase, just in the past two days, has been "Night, night Daddy." She was trying to sing along with Lucas this morning as he sang "cock a doodle doodle doo".
All in all, Mya is racing through stages and it is exhilarating to witness. On the down side, all of this new excitement seems to be keeping her up at night. All of my hope for long nights of sleep have vanished. All in good time. This spurt is too fun to dampen.
